One more thing complete!

This morning mom and I went to order invitations. It went smoothly and quickly as we had already decided everything and had written down everything just as we wanted it.

The proof should be here Monday or Tuesday and then it will only be 2-3 weeks before the invitations come in...

Then it will be time to begin the process of addressing all of them! So exciting!

My list of to-do things is getting smaller!!!!!

It is finished....and PERFECT!

Mom and I went to my second fitting today. Remember the 1st was on Monday...amazingly fast!

The seamstress did a wonderful job. Everything is perfect! It is amazing how beautiful the dress is once it fits properly!

And...I have 2 months until the bridal portraits...no last minute worries!

One year ago...

On Sunday, one year ago today...Nathan and I went on our first date. Tomorrow is the actual date...the 16th of January...but it was a Sunday last year.

Tomorrow...I go for my first fitting. Carole sent me pictures of when we went to try on the dress back in December. I found shoes on Friday. Everything is going so wonderfully...I feel so beautiful when I try on the dress.

Mom found her dress for the wedding and she looks absolutely spectacular.

To think...one year ago today my life changed forever...and I have never been happier!

Made It!

Well...it is Friday the 13th... :) and the Friday before our 3-day weekend. My plan was to make it until MLK holiday and I did. For the most part it went fast...except yesterday was slow...I hope today isn't slow. I don't like slow days. I much prefer the beginning of the week. Monday is my favorite day. I am fresh and pumped and the day typically flies by. When Friday rolls around I am tired from the week and the day typically drags by. I hate that...which is why I don't like Fridays.

But the goal was to make it to MLK and then it would all be downhill from there. :)

We meet with the builder on Monday and I have a bridal fitting on Monday plus it is our one year anniversary...so Monday will be busy. This afternoon I have to buy wedding shoes...since I have a fitting and need my exact shoes...I also need to find undergarments suitable for my dress. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. :)

Well...of to work I go.

More House Pictures...

I guess I reached some kind of limit on posting pictures on my last entry...so I have three here...

Our front door....it will have a dark stain that will match our cabinets.

The shower in the master bathroom.

The tub in the master bathroom. Notice our upgrade of glass block...standard is a plate glass window...and since our neighbors are only about 6 feet away...I thought a little more privacy would be nice. The tub is really big and deep. It will be perfect for my evening bath ritual.

House Update

Hello all! I keep promising house updates...and just never get around to posting the pictures.

Things are going along great. We should have our next builder meeting soon...hopefully next Monday when we are off of school. Since I haven't posted pictures in awhile I will put some old ones and then the ones we took today.

Here is an old picture from December. They framed our house in 2 or 3 days...it was amazing. One day we had a slab of concrete and the next time we drove by we had a house!

I am standing in the kitchen and taking a picture looking towards the living room, fireplace, and master bedroom.

What a difference a roof makes. It is much darker and we have exterier walls. All of the plumbing and duct work is done. And from what we can tell, most of the wiring is also complete. I am standing in the living room looking towards the kitchen and front of the house.

Our fire place.

Our back door that leads to our screened in porch.

Stolen Light bulb???

We were in the middle of cooking dinner this evening when I randomly asked Nathan if we had received the apartment circular for January. He said it was probably on the door and went to retrieve it.

A few seconds later he came back chuckling. I asked what was so funny...it wasn't the circular as he didn't have anything in his hands...

He said..."Someone stole our light bulb."

I was quite perplexed..."What?"

"The light outside the front door...the light bulb is GONE..."

I started laughing. I reminded him that I had taken that bulb and put in the garage when he was changing the oil in my car.

We had a good laugh over that...to think...a light bulb bandit! :)

Back to School

January 4th...6:45am....time to head back to work.

It is safe to say that neither Nathan nor I wanted to get up this morning. I don't think it bothered me as much as it did him. :) See I focus on the short term goals...8 days until our first three day weekend. :) MLK holiday...not only MLK holiday but also our 1 year anniversary. Well...I can certainly make it 8 school days. :) Then I will just focus on the next holiday...February 6th to be exact.

Not the best way to make it through the year...but it works. And then...by February 6th we will be getting close to "move into the house time"...so that will occupy me. Then it will be almost spring break time...which means bridal portraits and wedding registrations....and once spring break comes it is a down hill slide....because after spring break the big focus is TAKS (the big ugly state tests that we all hate for those that don't know)...then once TAKS is over it is May...May means the last month of school...Carole, Britt and Ava coming...one month till the wedding...etc. etc. etc. So I have it all planned out...all I have to do is make it until MLK holiday! :)

So here we go!
